Gobles girls remain undefeated

    The Gobles girls basketball team played Lawton last week and took control early, running out to a 40-14 halftime advantage, on the way to a 63-35 win.  
    For Gobles, Emily Lopez scored 13 points, nabbed nine rebounds, and offered seven assists. Kylee Mandigo had 13 points and five rebounds.


    Friday night, the Tigers capped off Winterfest activities with a big win over the Fennville Blackhawks.  
    Gobles came out hot and took a 24-0 lead, and were ahead 33-6 at halftime.
    “It was great jumping out to a big lead early and seeing everyone get solid playing time on Winterfest,” said Gobles Coach John Curtis. “With another three games this week, it’s nice to have some nights like this.”
    Gobles won the game, 54-19, led by Maddy Tiller with 12 points and six rebounds, and Christiana Hunt with 11 points.  
    The Tigers are 13-0 on the season, and currently ranked eighth in the state by the Detroit Free Press and sixth in AP poll.
