The Michigan High School Football Coaches Association this week selected Stephens as this year’s winner of the 2018 Region Seven High School Coach of the Year. The award recognizes outstanding accomplishments in high school football coaching.
In his third year as head coach at Paw Paw, Stephens led his team to an 8-3 record, a spot in the high school playoffs for the first time since the 2014-15 season, and a tourney win over state-rated Three Rivers. Stephens’ overall record at Paw Paw stands at 17 wins and 12 defeats.   Hot Shotz Photography/Matthew Day
