Paw Paw woman may face felony narcotics charge following seizure of controlled substances

   PAW PAW - A felony charge, possession of controlled substances, will be sought for a 28-year-old Paw Paw woman, following a narcotics search warrant conducted in the Village of Paw Paw, according to a press release from the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office.
   Van Buren County Sheriff Daniel Abbott reported that the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit conducted an investigation into illegal narcotics activities taking place at a residence in the Village of Paw Paw.
   On June 14, at approximately 12:30 p.m., detectives from the Narcotics Unit, along with deputies from the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office Uniform Response Division, executed the search warrant.
   The woman was at the residence at the time the search warrant was served. During the search, authorities found a clear plastic Ziploc-type bag containing various types of suspected pharmaceutical grade controlled substances.
   No arrests have been made; the investigation is still ongoing at this time. The incident will be forwarded to the prosecutor for review.
