Trinity Lutheran students learning Chinese language

Trinity Lutheran School in Paw Paw added Chinese to their foreign language curriculum this past semester.  Kindergartners through eighth graders had daily lessons in learning the Chinese language and culture from native Chinese teachers through the Confucius Institute.  The teachers engaged the students in learning activities that involved games, videos, and songs. In photo above, kindergartners and first graders are shown with their teacher, Li Sun.  The students were very receptive to learning Chinese, and as a result, Trinity plans to offer it in the 2019-20 school year. Latin and Spanish are also included in Trinity's middle school foreign language curriculum.
