Don Barraia

    Don Barraia, 74, of Kalamazoo, passed peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family,  Monday, May 20, 2019. He was born June 25, 1944, in Chicago.
    He had lived in the area since 1973. He was a manager at W.L. Molding, retiring in 2014, after 38 years of service. He enjoyed his family,  boating, the theatre, wine collecting and his dogs.
    Members of his family include his wife, Jeanette; his children, Sherry Eierman, Gina (Stacy) Cook, Margaret (Jonathon) Busch, Donald (Nicole) Barraia, Bradley (Kelly) Petersen; 11 grandchildren, Zoe, Zane, Nick, Madison, Alayna, Hannah, Landon, Sophie, Ella, Bearett, Braelynn; three great-grandchildren,  Jackson, Juniper, Zion; brother,  Jerry Barraia; sister, Donata Raebig; and several nieces and nephews.
    Also surviving are his beloved dog, Greta; and grand dog, Tucker.
    He was preceded in death by brother, Louis “Bud” Barraia.
    Cremation has taken place and a memorial service was held Thursday, May 23, at Betzler Life Story Funeral Home, 6080 Stadium Drive, Kalamazoo, (269) 375-2900. Private burial services will take place at a later date.
