Violet Palladino

    Violet Palladino died from health complications due to Alzheimer’s in Chicago, Friday, Sept. 6, 2019, at the age of 90. Born Sept. 30, 1928, to Marvin and Bessie (Tschupp) Wayne in Three Rivers, MI, she grew up in Galesburg, MI, where she helped out with farm animals and crops at home, and played sports at school.
    After graduating from WMU with a degree in Business Education, Vi found a calling with the Girl Scouts of America, which led her to the West Coast. Tony had to follow her there to propose marriage! On April 21, 1956, she married Anthony ‘Tony’ Palladino, and they had four children.
    She is survived by all four children, Deanna (James) Montgomery, Mike Palladino, Lou (Anne Reeb) Palladino, and Alex Palladino, and her nine  grandchildren, Betsy, Amanda, Evan, Megan, Max, Marek, Jordan, Bailey, and Leah.
    Vi was preceded in death by her husband, Tony;  and her brother, Warren; and sisters, Neva and Mellie.
    Visit with family and friends, while sharing food and drinks,  Saturday, Sept. 28, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Betzler Life Story Funeral Home, 6080 Stadium Dr.,  Kalamazoo, (269) 375-2900. Burial will be in Genesee Prairie Cemetery.
