LAWRENCE - Lawrence hosted Bangor  Friday, and had no trouble putting the Vikings away, 48-0. The Tigers got on the scoreboard quickly with a touchdown pass and a successful two-point conversion to put the home team up, 8-0, within the first minutes of the game.
The Vikings tried their best to answer, getting themselves into scoring position after a long run. But they got no closer to the endzone as several penalties drove the ball back. On a fourth down and long play, Lawrence sophomore Bol Bak, broke up a long Bangor pass, forcing the Vikings to turn the ball over.
The Tigers began extending their lead in the second quarter. Bak scored on a quarterback keeper, weaving  his way into the endzone from 65 yards out. The long touchdown gave Lawrence a 14-0 lead. The Lawrence defense kept the momentum going and quickly forced the Vikings to punt the ball away.
Lawrence worked its way down the field, where an option pass to Zach Payment put the Tigers in scoring position. On the next play, junior Bailee Page took the direct snap and ran the ball into the endzone. A two-point try fell short, but with five minutes left in the half, Lawrence led 20-0.
The Tigers dominated on both sides of the field for the remainder of the game. The defense forced several Bangor turnovers and sacks on the Viking quarterback quarterback. The win helped Lawrence improve its season record to 3-5.
