On a beautiful night for football, the Blue Devils traveled to Bloomingdale for a match up with the Cardinals and a confidence- boosting 20-8 victory after a tough game last week.
Though the score may not indicate it, the Lawton offense had to fight to gain yards but did manage 236 yards of total offense to the Cardinals’ 132 yards.
One troubling stat of the game was the eight  turnovers between the two teams. The Blue Devils fared just one better in this category, giving the ball away on  two interceptions and a fumble.  The Cards gave up the ball five times, all by interception.  Bloomingdale used 23 of their 50 plays of the game as passing plays. They gained most of their yards through the air; but the Blue Devil defense also totaled up four sacks with Dylan Kalas earning two of them.
The Blue Devils ran the ball a little more than pass, averaging a total 4.8 yards per play for the game.  The Blue Devils worked a pretty balanced attack earning them a total of 143 yards rushing and 83 yards passing.
Scoring for the Blue Devils were Jacob Matthies and Kalas, each with one touchdown reception, and Nate Brooks with a rushing touchdown, and a two-point conversion.
