Gobles nicks two close wins from Constantine

   On Monday night, the Gobles softball team played Constantine right down to the wire when Tiger Morgan Witt singled on an 0-2 count in the bottom of the seventh, to score a run and give the Tigers the 4-3 win. 
   Emily Lopez pitched Tigers to victory.  She lasted seven innings, allowed five hits and three runs, while striking out three. 
   Gobles had 10 hits in the game from Libbee Nason and Morgan Witt, each with two, including a double; and Maddy Tiller, Amanda Barber, Emily Baxter, Destiny Woodard, and Tatum Miller, all with one apiece.
   In the second, game Gobles trailed 4-3 going into the last inning.  Tiller singled and then stole second to be in scoring position. The next batter, Lopez, walked, and all runners advanced on a wild pitch. Tiller scored on a passed ball to tie the game, and  Lopez scored on a wild pitch to win the game 5-4 for the Tigers. Lopez was the winning pitcher.
